Portraiture - Sem 2

I'd like to break my portraits up into two distinct areas this semester.

1. B&W portraits in a style combining, and drawing influence from the portraiture work of Paolo Roversi/Sarah Moon (long exposures, strong engagement with sitter, beautiful tones) and Marc Hom/Arnold Newman (environmental context, geometry)

So, using the long exposures and shallow depth of field of Moon/Roversi:

2. My second idea is less formed yet but would be a continuation of my celebrity/Vanity Fair images from semester 1, perhaps with an emphasis on the 1940s glamour look. They would be colour images, modern but strongly referencing the old 40s look. Horst, George Hurell, and Norman Jean Roy.
